Accounts Assistant – CLOSED

Reporting to Finance Director

Location Sharpness Office

Hours 9.00am – 5.00pm, Monday – Friday

Job summary

To work as part of the finance team covering a variety of accounts, HR and administrative duties. Attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality are essential as you will be responsible for checking and verifying information and dealing with staff records and company information.

Job description

Sales Ledger

  • Raising sales invoices (approx. 80 per week) using Quick Books Pro

Purchase Ledger

  • Checking purchase invoices against purchase order and delivery notes
  • Inputting purchase invoices into Quick Books Pro
  • Resolving queries with colleagues and suppliers
  • Issuing remittance advices to suppliers

Human Resources

  • Assisting with HR documentation and records


  • Answering incoming phone calls and dealing with customer queries


The successful candidate will require the following skills:

  • Competent IT skills, particularly Excel
  • Good communicator, both written and verbal
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Good attention to detail and administrative skills
  • Familiarity with accounting software is desirable but not essential
