Bennetts Cranes purchases two out of three Raimondi cranes on display at Bauma 2019

UK-based tower crane hire specialist Bennetts Cranes, has purchased two of the three Raimondi tower cranes on show at Bauma 2019 – the largest construction trade show in the industry.

Managing director of Bennetts Cranes, Edward Seager, signed the Purchase Order in Munich on Wednesday 10 April, with Raimondi executives Mauro Masetti and Cristian Badin, for the new LR273 and LRH174, both currently being exhibited at the show.

The two cranes will head over to the UK directly after Bauma to join the Bennetts’ fleet.

“Both of these cranes will make excellent additions to our growing fleet, which we are continually modernising and expanding,” said Mr Seager. “Luffers are the greater part of our crane fleet, and hydraulic luffers are increasingly useful in the UK, where we have to contend with limited land space and air rights regulations, controlling the over-sailing of properties.”

Bennetts Cranes already has several LRH174s in its fleet and operational on construction sites across the UK.

The LR273 had its first unveiling at Bauma this week. It is Raimondi’s newest luffing jib crane, which is weight-optimised and ideal for clients requiring a machine that is easy to install and boasts excellent load curve and big drum capacity. The crane has an 18-tonne capacity and a 60-metre jib.

Chief Commercial Officer at Raimondi Cranes, Mauro Masetti, said: “This luffer is an excellent compromise between maximum load capacity and maximum tip load. Its parking radius is a major asset to clients working in congested and highly built-up areas.

“Developed fully in compliance with the latest safety regulations; we actually designed the parking radius based on feedback from customers who are looking to refresh their respective fleets with Raimondi’s latest models.”
