Supporting local community facilities

Bennetts Cranes is proud to support a local community and recreation resource for local people in Sharpness, Gloucestershire.

For the third year, Bennetts Cranes has made a donation to Sharpness Community Swimming Trust, that maintains and operates the outdoor community pool in the village.

As a large business and employer based in Sharpness, Bennetts Cranes is delighted to be able to make a donation to enable the trust to maintain facilities and offer the pool to certain local community groups at no cost.

The Sharpness Community Pool is a heated outdoor pool, open during the summer months. Not only is it available for public swims and party and group bookings, but it is also used by the local primary school, and the trust has been able to fund National Pool Lifeguarding Qualification (NPLQ) training for local young adults.

Our donation was made as part of the Trust’s annual Channel Challenge, in which local representatives swim the equivalent distance of the length of the English Channel – 42 miles – to raise money for the pool.
